Agasthiyar Falls also called Papanasam Falls is located 42 km away from Tirunelveli. The falls originate from Western Ghats and from the lake from where Thamirabarani River originates. According to the legend, Sage Agasthiyar got divine blessings from lord Shiva at this falls. The

Vaigai Dam

The Vaigai Dam is built across the Vaigai River near Andipatti. The dam was built to rpovide irrigation to Madurai & Dindugul district. The dam was inaugrated in 21st january 1959.
