Mount Abu

Mount Abu is a hill station western India. It is located in the Aravalli Range in Sirohi district of Rajasthan. This is the only hill station in Rajasthan. The mountain forms a distinct rocky plateau 22 km long by 9 km wide. The tallest peak on the mountain is Guru Shikhar with an altitude of 1,722m. The place is full of natural beauties like rivers, lakes, waterfalls and evergreen forests. The place is also called as Shimla of Rajasthan. The coldest temperature is as low as 4C and highest temperature is as high as 36C. The hill station is located at an altitude of 1500m and the highest point of Yercaud is Servarayan temple at 1623m. Yercaud is translated to “Lake forest” due to the lush forest around the lake. The temperature of Yercaud varies from 12C in winter to 31C in summer.
