Rock Fort

Tiruchirapalli Rock Fort is the most prominent land mark of Trichy and it is because of this fort, the city got its nick name "Rock fort city". It is a fortification built on a 83m rock. It was used as military fort during various eras. The fort features two structures. A lower cave temple and an upper, 'ucchi Pillayar temple'.

Ranganathaswamy Temple

The Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple is one of the most prominent temple in Tamil Nadu. The deity of the temple is Ranganatha, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. it is also the largest temple in the world with 81 shrines, 21 towers and 39 pavilions. The temple complex has been nominated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
