Prakasam Barrage

Prakasam Barrage is one of the beautiful places in Vijayawada. It is a structure which is constructed across Krishna rive. It stretches 1223.5 m across the river. The dam was constructed in 1855 and it is one of the oldest structures constructed in Vijayawada. The best time to visit is definitely evening by 6-7pm. When the lights are on and the mesmerise you. Undavalli Caves

The Undavalli Caves is situated about 6 km from Vijayawada. It was founded on 7th AD. They are associated with the Vishnukundi kings of 420-620 A.D.. These caves are dedicated to Anantha Padmanabha and Lord Narashimha. The architecture of the place is rock cut architecture and it is one of the finest architectural examples of its type.  It is one of the centrally protected monuments of national importance. Paritala Anjaneya Temple

Paritala Anjaneya Temple is a temple residing statue of Lord Hanuman. It is one of the tallest statues of Hanuman in the world. The place is approximately 30 km from the city of Vijayawada, The statue was inaugurated in 2003 and stands at a height of 41m. Gandhi Hill

The Gandhi Hill a hill in situated behind the Vijayawada railway station. The hill was formally called as ORR hills. The place has a  modal of Amaravathi Mahachaitya. It opens at morning 10:00 and closed at 5:00 pm and Friday holiday. There is a very big Buddha doll.
